A strange fish indeed... From his early twenties Hugh's career has mostly been a thinly veiled - and for three years a wholly naked - attempt to spend more time skiing. In pursuit of this ambition he has spent his off-piste hours toiling in advertising and marketing businesses in the UK and US. Although he'd like to pretend that sore joints, three children and the pursuit of 'the ideal home' is the reason that he skis less these days, it might just have something to do with the fact that he has quite enjoyed his day-job.
From Unilever to J. Walter Thompson, from Guinness to Starbucks, from Sega to Nike, from Goodby Silverstein in San Francisco to Wieden and Kennedy in London, from brand manager to managing director and from ski bum to Alpine Operations Director, he has worked in and with some of the best marketing companies in the world.
Of vital importance to his career to date is his degree in Modern Arabic.
